Grants from BWF amplify the voices of women and girls who work tirelessly to create a just society free of racism and inequality. At BWF, we recognize that change begins in the community, frequently led by the efforts of inspirational women and girls who know the solutions to their problems yet lack the resources to solve them. Decisions made by the Allocations Committee provide critical resources to women and girl leaders in grassroots organizations. Learn more.
BWF raises money to fund grassroots organizations making change in their communities and to develop programs that support the needs of marginalized women and girls in the Boston area. The Development Committee is responsible for ensuring that BWF meets its fundraising goals that allow us to fulfill our mission and to ensure the long-term stability of the organization. The Committee will make recommendations to the Board when needed about making adjustments to the strategic Development Plan. Learn more.
The Finance Committee assists the Board in overseeing the financial wellbeing of the organization. The Committee meets periodically to review financial statements and to monitor deposits, expenditures, and available cash. Ways to Give
Monthly giving allows you to give a set amount each month and spread your annual gift across the year. Each month your credit or debit card will be charged the designated amount which helps us maximize your dollars by minimizing our fundraising costs. Click here to set up monthly giving.
Employer Matching Gifts
Many companies support the philanthropic interests of their employees and retirees by offering to partially or completely match your gift. Please contact your human resources department to find out if they offer a matching gift program. Most companies ask you to complete and return a short form or may require our tax identification number, which is 22-2475551.
You can support the Boston Women’s Fund by contributing to Community Works, a federation of social change organizations through payroll deduction. If your employer doesn’t provide Community Works as an option, call 617.423.9555 for information on how to bring the program to your workplace.
Many supporters also contribute in-kind gifts ranging from office furniture to professional services to free event space. Offers of donated printing and catering are particularly useful. We also appreciate contributions of time as much as treasure. Click here to learn more about how you can get involved.
