Grants from BWF amplify the voices of women, girls, and gender-expansive individuals who work tirelessly to create a just society free of racism and inequality. As a part of our commitment to community-led, participatory grantmaking, we rely on an Allocations Committee made of community members to help decide which organizations will receive funding. Volunteering + Internships

BWF is always seeking the assistance of passionate volunteers for long and short-term assignments. Volunteering or interning at BWF gives you an opportunity to engage directly in the critical work of improving the lives of vulnerable women, girls, and gender-expansive individuals. We are a social justice organization with a mission to end racial, economic, social, and gender injustice. We give grants to grassroots organizations led by women, girls, and gender-expansive individuals who work tirelessly to improve their communities. We also sponsor programs to train leaders and the next generation of activists, and host public events.
Now more than ever, we need you to speak up and join a powerful movement of women, girls, and gender-expansive people working to bring about lasting change.
