Finance Committee

The Finance Committee assists the Board in overseeing the financial wellbeing of the organization. The Committee meets periodically to review financial statements and to monitor deposits, expenditures, and available cash. The Committee also assists in the preparation of the annual budget and presents the budget to the Board for approval. Additionally, the Committee monitors internal management controls and assists the auditor and accountant in conducting the annual audit.

BWF has a Board-approved Investment Policy. The Finance Committee will periodically review the terms of the Investment Policy and will recommend any changes to the Board of Directors for approval. The Finance Committee meets periodically with the financial advisor and reports investment results to the Board at least annually.

The Finance Committee will schedule an annual meeting of the Board of Directors with the auditor and financial advisor.

The Finance Committee chair is the Board treasurer. The Committee welcomes volunteers, particularly those women with an accounting or financial background.
