LEARN AND
GROW TOGETHER
.

Part of advocating for women, girls, and gender-expansive individuals is creating innovative opportunities for the public to learn and grow together. Scroll down to explore our public programming for leaders across generations.

WOMEN OF COLOR LEADERSHIP CIRCLE

Advancing leadership journeys while combatting isolation and white supremacy culture in the workplace. In short, this is not your traditional leadership development program.

GROWUP LeadHership

Since our inception, we've supported youth leadership in the fight for racial, gender, economic and social justice. The Boston Women’s Fund has partnered with Jamila Gales, Founder and Executive Director of Girls Reflecting Our World (GROW) to launch a new youth leadership program called GROWUP LeadHership — a fiscally sponsored initiative of the Boston Women’s Fund. Through this initiative, youth ages 16-21 work alongside BWF staff to learn about philanthropy and drive change through hands-on grantmaking experience. Our youth program is affiliated with the The National Philanthropic Collaborative of Young Women’s Initiatives.

GETTING PROXIMATE

CONVERSATIONS

To deepen our understanding of the biggest issues impacting persistently excluded communities, we bring in the experts — grassroots community leaders with relevant lived-experience. Together in these virtual conversations, we learn how we can become stronger allies and better support individuals impacted by systems of oppression.

VOLUNTEERS

IN ACTION

Volunteers In Action mobilizes professionals to facilitate workshops and provide one-on-one support to BWF’s grassroots grantee partners. This program addresses capacity-building challenges faced by many grassroots organizations advancing systemic change in their communities.

RESEARCH INITIATIVE

The Boston Women’s Fund is a leading a first-of-its-kind research effort to surface the strengths, challenges, unmet needs, and collective impact of Greater Boston’s grassroots ecosystem led by and for women, girls, and gender-expansive people.
